Cross post.....can anyone in the area check? offer assistance? make phone calls?


I recently went into a petstore called PetLand. This store has been known for its crappy enviornment its animals live in. Anyway i saw a baby grey (nobody in the store knew how old it was) i would saw it was 4 -5 months old. it had all its feathers but was having ahard time perching. Well, this bird was so skinny i almost cried when i saw him. He was the sweetest thing. if i had the 1500.00 they wanted for him id have baught him right there to save him from that store. I seriously contenplated taking the bird and running ut the dorr when the ladys back was turned so i could go home and feed it. i told the lady this lady the bird was too skinny and needs to be hand fed more. they said that they were hand feeding him still once a day but i think they dont knwo what the HELL they are doing. I was there yesterday and im trying to find a number to report them. Its the petland on highway 281 in san antonio texas. This is the sweetest bird ive seen and deserves a fantastic home. If there is anyone in the san antonio area i may need your help. Ill keep yall posted on how things go. (ps. i got my grey when she was very young and she wa never that skinny, this birds stomach was so empty it was concaved. this bird is also bigger than mine was at this age.)

Where did you find this?
Animal Activist groups have been targeting Petlands all over the country. They do know how to tug at our heart strings on an issue like this.
Be careful!
Corporate doesn't care, btw. Those store are individually owned and operated.
