Jack is an escape artist!!!

Jack MUST be feeling tons better today!!! Since, it is Spring Break I decided to sleep in a half an hour late figuring that all the animals would be Ok with that too. Well, I guess Jack was NOT OK at all with that....I went into his room to find him sitting on top of his cage saying " HELLO" at the top of his lungs! I looked down he had taken his cage door off, nuts bolts and all and one whole side of his cage!!! I said, "Oh my God, it was only a half an hour!!!" and the little pirate laughed at me!!! I had to excuse myself for one moment and oh my, I laughed myself to a crying frenzy!!!

Thanks for sharing that story. It re-affirms just how much enjoyment we can get from our feathered family members.

Yeah they are clever lil buggers huh? He certainly did'nt feel like you needed the extra sleep! lol

Im glad Gypsy has not figured out her simple door locks yet. It will only be a matter of time though. I have seen people use some pretty complicated things to keep thier parrots from escaping. I have not yet seen anything "parrot proof".

Yeah it looks like Lance is going to have to come home from work, put Jacks cage back together and quick link that baby everywhere! Its funny how Jack didn't figure out the locks on the door, but managed to unbolt the whole darn thing! And then laugh about it!

That is funny....

My Severe learned that you can take bolts off if you play with them enough... So far, he hasn't escaped, but he has loosened them a lot...

Use Loc-Tite on the threads, it will keep them from turning so easily!!

That's a wonderful story! - I can almost see him behind a cartoon-llike maze of chains & locks, if you want to go out, in case he opens the front door!

Another animal story - my old pinto horse was an escape artist too & many a morning I'd get a call from the stables a mile away saying that she'd let herself into their stables & their stallion was going crazy . As a teenager it was enbarrasing to go get her at 6 am & ride the little tart home.
