LOOK who's home!!!!!!!!!!!

Surprise! Well I went to visit my cape parrot today. I walked in to the bird room and went over to the cage as usual but this time Barney was in his little house and Betty (the female) was out and about, climbing and such. She came right over to me so I decided to take her out. Well I fell in love with her and she seemed pretty happy to be with me for several hours! When I told the store owner that I had Betty in my hand she told me that the breeder had begged her to tell me to get the girl NOT the boy. But the owner didn't even have time to tell me that because it was INSTANT the love. I had been feeling kinda blue the last few days because I wasn't sure I was making the right decision getting Barney afterall. I even spoke to Nancy and told her that I didn't feel any bond to him. I figured it was because he was just a personality-less baby and I didn't get much time to see him but once a week. But I'll tell you, I feel completely different about this one. She's precious! I had named them both Barney and Betty Rubble so I'm calling her Betty but might might might change it to Crystal-Bell. What do you all think? So here are some pictures. She's the softest, cutest thing! I'm so happy she is home!

Congratulations!! She is absolutely beautiful!! I like the name Crystal-Bell (you can call her Bell for short) but I also think Betty is a cute name!! I love cape parrots especially how they seem to smile! I actually just got home from a birdstore where I got to hold a cape and talked to two others...so cute! Can't wait to here all about her and her personality!

I am very happy for you!!! I ended up with Sophie pretty much the same way. The first one I was lookin at didn't feel quite right........... Betty is very pretty.

It's always best to let the bird pick you, so if Betty is the one who picks you, she is the best one for you. She sure is a cutie!
