Yes they can be quite destructive from time to time, but the birdies don't even come close to the destructive power of.....................BUNNIES!!!

I had wondered too originally & my poor family didn't have the wit you guys have!

Tell me about bunnies - because my son keeps pestering me to get one - told him that after I did some research on them they:
1) really are happier with a pal (& that is not always successful - same with all creatures).
2) I remember from my farm days that their poop is similar to sheep's - strong smelling.
3) I didn't want to rewire all the electrial cords!.

Bunnies proved to be the single most destructive pet I ever owned, Chinchilla's ran a close second. They can out chew a lion, out shred any parrott and do it at rabbit speed! But they are dang cute doing it!!! If they are kept supervised at all times when out of the cage and one "bunny" proofs their home it would be ok. They are good pets. But just like on Monty Python and the holy grail..............................
