I finaly got Baby Girl(whom I believe may be a boy now)to let me scratch the back of her head. I think she may even believe that I am not going to eat her anymore. LOL! It feels like I've just watched a baby take its first step. Hopefully she won't forget and still let me pet her tommarow.

Now male Cockatiels are the ones that sing right? About two weeks ago she started singing and has become very active. Running around the cage trying to nibble on everything. She also like to groom Alaska...the 8 week old baby I've got.

Alex the one whom I thought was a boy hasnt started to sing and he's about 5 months old now. So maybe he is a she? My poor birds are going to have messed up sexual orintation. LOL. Luckily Alaska is a neutral name.

I am not an expert, but I have owned many cockatiels both male and female and they all whistled songs. I hear that females don't talk much or whislte like male birds (of any bird/parrot species), but I really feel it is an individual thing. Having said that I have owned some female birds that were nasty and did not talk.
