way to cute! Bob always looks really nice in your photos. He is one of the best looking B/G's I have seen. His beak is always really shiny Black and smooth looking. I LOVE the pictures of Eddie, he don't seem to be very thrilled though. LOL.
Gypsy got her bath today too. I tried the sink and sprayer, and she did'nt go for it, so we used the spray bottle and soaked her right down. I blow dry her after, as I'm affraid she will get cold. She LOVES the hair dryer. Is it OK to let them air dry after toweling them?

I hope so! We don't blow them dry--1) not a one of them likes it, and 2) I don't know if the blowdryer has Teflon in it. When we shower the birds, they get toweled and then air dried. We usually up the temperature to about 75 Farenheit (sp?) for a couple of hours until they're dry so they don't get chilled.
Edit: Thanks for the nice words about my Darlin' Boy! I'm sure lots of love and spoiling makes for shiny feathers and beaks--or maybe it's just due to a good diet and Mom and Dad BG's great genes? *grins*

don't you love the Macaw tail shake they do in the shower when they're all happy and wet? kind of like a dog wagging its tail.
I also have the Too shower problem. finally resorted to sticking them in a giant metal salad bowl I have and soaking them down that way. they don't like it getting water splashed about their Too dignity, but they get good and soaked. the best part for them is getting toweled off.

I love wet bird pics. I wish taking a shower was that much fun for me!
I wouldn't use a hair dryer on a bird. Not only would it be very easy to burn them, many of those driers have teflon in them. As long as it's early enough in the day and there are no drafts they're fine. |

Bob is a cutie. His beak will get rougher as he ages. Kind of like me and wrinkles (LOL). Watching a macaw take a happy shower is like a child's laugh. Great photos.
