Agreed. It is possible the mother didn't have anyone else, and couldn't afford daycare. I've been in that situation in the past. It is heartbreaking for the grandmother though. :(

Very hard choice to make. I'm sure it was the only one she had though. It makes me glad I already had my children before getting my first parrot. Though she don't trust the children, she is facinated by them. And so far has not been violent twords them. But let me tell you this, If someone suggested to my husband to leave me AND take my birds...I would of found that person and popped them a good one! The nerve of some people.
