Feeling a little exotic?

I found this site on a search and thought I'd share.

Laka [lah' kah] Gentle, Tame

Hina [hee' nah] Gray (also, a Hawaiian goddess)

Meli [meh' lee] Honey

Lale [lah' leh] Legendary bird mentioned in old tales and songs as a sweet singer

Uila [oo (w)ee' lah] Lightning

Laki [lah' kee] Lucky

`Ula [oo' lah] Red, Scarlet

Oops, my bad. Must be the painkillers the doc has me on.

I like 'Ula. It's so tough to find original names for pets. I used to give my bettas native american names. I got my board name from my avatar betta named Kachina. 'Ula just sounds tribal and rolls off the tongue nicely. Plus it fits the fid I'm longing for.

As far as what species I've got my heart set on, not telling just yet. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, so to speak. LOL

It's Nuimanukoakeimakanoalakahinamelilaleuilalaki`ulaiI pokalâ and it means
“Great bird who is fearless in his glory and the favorite one of freedom and who is as gentle as a goddess of honey as from his beak spring sweet songs and lightning and who is lucky amongst the red sweethearts of the sun”
but will answer to Newman for short

That's the third definition of Kei I've seen. In Japanese Kei means rapture, In African it means white, sandy and now it means Dignified, Glorious, One's Pride and Glory. I have to say I like that definition more than the others. It actually makes since.
