In need of a good parrot stand/gym...

Hey all,

I have been looking for a good parrot stand or gym for awhile now with no luck. Im about ready to order a PVC stand. I don't have the time to make one, nor do I really have the tallent.

But what I really want is a HUGE Tree made from Dragon wood, manzita or whatever type of hard wood. Keep in mind it would need to be huge for a Greenwing. But thats what I want. I can't even find normal stands or gyms around here. I don't want a hanging gym, my ceilings are too high and im affriad it will not hold. I will order a boing soon, just to try it out those can't be that heavy.

Does anyone know where I can order a HUGE tree type stand for macaws? I have seen through pictures that a few of you have them. I have serched the net forever with no luck.

I've been away for a little from Bangor...is there still a pet store in the Airport mall?? seems they ...or the florist there? had a huge bird gym...could be an old memory, but that's what i remember...

Yes they do have a pet store in the Airport Mall still, but no play stands anymore. Actully the people that opened just sold the store to a younger guy, and it has really gone down hill. ~crys~ It was my favorite store!

Laurie, Do you have any available now? Any pictures? Im just not too clever with making those types of things. I will need a smaller lighter stand as well.

the nice thing about making your own PVC or even wood gymn is you can make it to any specs you want. Nice thing about buying one pre made is its pre made! :)

Did you find the gym/stand you were looking for? If not, did you try ebay? I have found this tree made of sandblasted manzanita that really looks huge! Here is the link....
