A Bird's signature

I'm getting ready to sit down and do my Christmas cards. For the birds that will sit there long enough, I'd like them to sign with a claw print or something. Does anyone have any experience with the non-toxic finger print ink that they use for babies or children being used by birds?
If it's not safe, what is another good way for them to add their mark to a card?

I have used grape koolaid, with very little dilution.

At most herb stores or wiccan shops you can buy veggie dye that is totally non toxic you can even drink it(not that anyone would but yoyu can)

that's a good idea too...next time i'm in New Orleans I'll have to pick some up....living here in the "Bible Belt," we don't have any wiccan stores...since I practice some of it as an extension of my Catholicism, I have to get all of my stuff either over in New Orleans, or online.

well, I tried Nancy's grape kool-aid idea, and it worked like a charm! and Oscar loved it, though he wasn't so keen on the idea of dipping his foot in it at first. I kept the batch I made in a little tupperware dish, and he and I are going to start our christmas cards next week.....Oh my poor white carpet!
