Quito is Home
Yesterday I brought Quito the GCC home from the breeders, and she seems to be settling in nicely. This afternoon she decided to step up and come out of the cage on her own (well, with a little grape bribery). She's very sweet, and is also beginning to find her voice, after not making a sound up until this afternoon, now she's doing some chirping. Her appetite has been great. She's eating millet, pellets, banana, as well as the grapes.
So far, grapes have proven to be the treat she will "work for". I've been cutting them up into little pieces of say, 12 pieces per grape. How much is too much grapes for a Green Cheek anyway? I don't want to overdo it, although it seems like they're mostly water anyway. Would two or three grapes a day be reasonable?
