Apple Dip

Here is Apple my Max Pionus enjoying a dip in a very teeny weeny bowl....guess he wanted a "skinny dip" LOL.

He is doing well, and I am starting to get used to his big feet!

I can say one thing....he LOVES food and saying his name "Hi Apple" :)

Beautiful baby. I LOVE those purples and greens. He looks like a very happy young man.

He is stunning - the beauty shot is a keeper!
Do you think he's telling you something, using that little bowl? - or is he afraid of the deep end & wants the wading pool?
I guess I haven't been paying attention - did you just get him?
Lucky you.

haha, my conure does something similar when he takes a bath. He likes to bathe in his water dish which is too small for him to really fit in- so I bought him a larger one for bathing. Of course he ignored it and refused to bathe until I put his older dish back in his cage. hahaha, so I just gave up and let him have his way.

That is one cool lookin' bird! How is his temperment? Is he a momma's boy or does he kind of do his own thing?

Thanks guys, it is always special to see birds bathing for some reason :)

He could have used the bigger bowl..but he wanted the tiny one I guess.

Yeah I have had him for only 1 wk, he is 3 yr old and was waiting for a forever home at the rescue.

He has a nice temperment, but I think his upbringing left alot to be desired.
He always wants you to be looking at him, or talking to him, will let me pet him and is starting to let me give him head scritches. But I have taken 2 good bites..all my fault. I didn't know how to read "Pionus" ~ I am learning quickly :)
