Miro the Dissassembler...

Sometimes these birds are too clever for their own good- And for our own sanity...

I kept finding parts of Miros cage loose... I tightened them back up- but they would end up mysteriously loose again not too long after. I had my suspicions- Until I caught the little bugger red handed (or clawed)-

...Just use your tounge until the nut is loose....

...Then reach around to the other side, a quick tug, and...

... GOT IT!!!

And, when you get in trouble for it, just use the cute, innocent look as your defense!!

But, Daddy- I'm so CUTE! I would NEVER do something I am not supposed to!!

But, we still got to go out to play for a bit- and snap a few pics....

When he does it on the stand on top of his cage, he takes all the nuts and bolts out, then puts them all in his empty food dish. At least I can find them.

I think I need to get more loc-tite....

-Andrew

Your disassebler is one handsome fellow!!

Isn't it something how they just know how to take out screws, bolts, untie knots, and steal our hearts!

I am glad he will put them in his bowl for you and not toss them across the room :)

Love the pictures. Nothing mechanical is safe with them.

Its a Severe thing. I have Mia's cage up against my Severe, Chi Chi's. Her favorite sleeping perch is on the side of the cage nearest his favorite perch. That little stinker will undo the wingnut on HER perch. Eventually, I hear a loud crash and then the sound of nails on cage bars as poor Mia scrambles up to the next perch. It took me the longest time to figure out who was loosening the nut.

My male macaws, ALL of them, are very mechanical. Nothing is safe. However, none of my hens seems the least bit interested in undoing nuts and bolts. Its a guy thing.

Oh that was so funny! Not funny he's doing such bad things! Maybe I need to put my bird up while scanning BB. She might get ideas!

From my experiences with Evil Eddy, there ain't no thing as an "innocent" Severe. They're all guilty as sin! LOL!
