I love the cage(s). But I really love the skirts. Do they help much? I think I'd need to put one about half way up the cage in order to control some of the flingers here. Did you make them? Pattern? or eyeball it?

That's a great cage, I particulary like the big pink E on top! Or is it hanging on the wall? I'd also like to know if those cage skirts actually work, I have a couple of cages that could use one.

Thanks everyone! Actually Emma likes it now. She didnt like it the first week, and we had to sleep with the lights on**LOL**Good thing everyone has covers!!
Her cage is red. Its more of a burgundy. Its called Ruby Red, and made by Avian adventures. my other cages for all the boys are either Antiqued, or silver veined as some companies call it, or white. I thought about matching one of them, but being she is the only girl, she can stand out....and she looks really cute in it. The "E" hangs on the wall over her cage. It has a silver heart that reads "emma" as well as an angel with her name to watch over her. I actually have seven angels in the room, one for each bird (thats something I started a very long time ago )

I make the cage skirts, and I can say, yes they do help. I never used the metal cage skirts because I have seen to many birds get hurt...(see what I wrote to Don, in Spencers cage post)
Maybe they have gotten better over the years, but I'm not taking any chances. My vets also do not like the metal skirts. (When My birds go to the vets, the vets have pics of all the other avian residents and thier cages for reference if need be)
My girlfriend used to make them for me, and since she moved I have been on my own**LOL** I probably have as many differnt color cages skirts as I do underware**LMAO**
Everyone needs a skirt, and they need to match...new cage...new skirts.....
hospital cage, bring out the smaller skirts....Winter gets the darker skirts. These will be thier summer skirts..I hae made so many..i eyeball it.......I also make matching runners for the cabinet in thier room, and lampshade cover too. If the store has more then one bolt of fabric, I will make covers too....but an average bolt hold 8 yrds, and I am pretty close to that now with the cages alone!
So with this bolt I made 5 very large skirts, and 5 evacuation bags.....
not much is left over!!
Emma's cage skirt is complete with lace for the princess of the house!
Anyone who has been to my house says the bird room looks more like a nursery then a bird room**LOL**
