Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill

We have had this video for a couple of months now and we finally watched it last night. Boy is Lori over sensative, she sat there blubbering throughout most of it. Sheesh. We've read what others have said about the emotions that this film will bring out, but never expected it to touch us so deeply. We sat there with the 3 fids watching and they seemed to be paying close attention to the tv. If you haven't seen the movie, rent it, buy it or steal it. You will enjoy it.

They are having an open house this Sat at the Oasis and Mark Bittner is to be there. We now may have to make the 3 hr drive down there.

Wow - haven't seen the movie & there has been quiet a bit of talk about this very thing - nobody wants to see a tear gerker or heart stabber. The book I've read. & I enjoyed it without a tear & let me tell you I'm usually the one with the hankies.
So I guess the 'focus' for the two mediums [book/scene play] just aren't at all alike. & they say the media is the message.

I blubbered through both the book and the movie. Just bought the dvd at the bird fair but I guess I need a new box of Kleenex before I watch the extras.

Jeff and Lori, if you meet Mark, tell him Tiki from Brisbane says "G'day"!
