Yes they are! Although I may be a total nut because I thoroughly enjoy it, to me it signifies their happiness and I love to hear it and if they don't do it for the day I initiate it and we end up doing it together. To me its not bothersome and as long as its just happy healthy normal vocalizations they don't last long and are generally only about once or twice a day. Now if you have a bird that screams for attention that might be a whole other ball game, but we don't have that problem here. Sometimes while taking the dogs on a walk at night I can hear my birds a block away with all my windows and doors shut tight  So YES they are loud.

Yes, I have owned 2 sulfer crested cockatoos and they do SCREAM loudly. I love them, they are so beautiful, but in town with neighbours, I worried about complaints.

Well, let me put it this way: the M2 down the street screams loud enough to set the car alarm off.

LOL Nancy!
It gets quite loud here with the too's going crazy. As Cindy said, I enjoy it as it means they are happy. We also have the behaviorial screaming here, which isn't quite as pleasant, to say the least. I love my too's and wouldn't trade them for the quietest bird! ![]()
