Hi,
I just got 2 new cockatiels, and I noticed that the WF lutino hatched 2/26/06 is molting and had a slightly elongated beak. When I asked the breeder about this, she said that it had been sufddely hot at their home ( Northern Virginia) and the babies were molting as a result. The other baby isn't molting. The one with the longer beak is. They are well adjusted, happy, and eating fine. I didn't think that cockatiels molted until after 6 months, though. Has anyone heard differently? What about the beak? The breeder said to keep an eye on it, but said it was fine. It just looked different that my other cockatiels that I already have and the other baby that came with this one. Any ideas? |
