Attention Plucking Bird Owners

Yesterday, I came up with a great idea for plucked, chilly birds. I call it the Feather Sweater and I made this one for my Mia out of polar fleece and fringe. She is nice and warm and likes to play with the fringe.

If anyone would like for me to try to fabricate something similar for their birds, please contact me privately.

I didn't know that the name Feather Sweater was already taken (LOL). I'll just call it the Plucker Pullover. In any event, both Mia and my Ekkie are now proudly dressed. My Ekkie decided last night to remove a bunch of feathers. Unfortunately, when its winter up here its summer in Aussieland. Ekkie hens love to remove brood patch feathers, so I'll have to keep an eye on her. We just got her refeathered after last winter. Damn redheads.

Nancy, that is so cool and the HEIGHT of fashion, dahling! It never gets cold enough in Brisbane to require sweaters, but I have to admit I was really naughty, took a flight suit to Dubai, adjusted it a bit and had a tailor stitch up 20 of them in various colours for peanuts! :oops: I call them "Tiel Togs". Not going commercial with them though--yet!

Here's a pic of Taina wearing one-I use them as birth control so my bonded pairs can be together but not mate (only when I am home and supervising).

The plucker pullovers are really neat. I don't have a feather plucker (yet), but will remember you if I need one. Tiki your tiel togs are too cute also.
