Your fids are great.
Your action photos are really fun - those two seem to really get along - you are very lucky. It seems a strange combination - such a colourful petite bird & the solid Grey. ~ Blaze looks fabulous - is he still getting his adult colours? Strange abut the tail thing - he looks OK without it! - a bit like a Lovie now, in shape. ~ Buckeye is very handsome - he looks gentle, is he? I noticed that you have 3 cats - Did you have cats before you got the birds? How do the cats behave - much interest? Are you lucky there too? |

Thanks
Yeah they get along great. Blaze is still getting his colors, I like how his tail feathers looks now, his nickname is now stubby. Buckeye thanks you, Yeah he is very gentle, such a sweet loving bird.I only have 2 in the house, one lives outside. Yes, I had all three cats before the birds. The cats get along well, they're sometimes scared of the birds. I have some pictures of them together. I'll upload them to my album. I try to limit the interaction though. You never know! I love seeing the two boys together like that! Really does bring out the contrast. Someday I'm sure "Stubby" will sport a tail that is the envy of all!!

How old are your babies (birds) and how did you introduced them to each other? I have a GCC and 3 greys and i would love them to have a friendship with each other.......Any tips?
I never let any of my greys close to the GCC because i'm afraid they are going to hurt him. |

They're about a year old, and they were fed together. They've always been together. I don't allow them to be with each other without supervision. Greys are pretty big birds, and conures aren't, ya know. I can offer some tips though. You can try setting the cages very close to one an other. So they will be used to each other. Then, you could take the GCC out and 1 Grey, and hold them on opposite hands let them face each other for maybe about ten minutes or longer if you want then switch to another grey. If they show any hostility (Hissing, ruffled feathers, or lunging) separate them immediately. If all goes well get them a little closer every day. Always make sure you can separate them if anything goes wrong. Sometimes it's better to just to keep them apart, but you can try this method. I did this method even though Buckeye, and Blaze were raised together. It worked out great. Buckeye loves to get preened by Blaze, and Blaze loves to preen him.

Thank you, i will try that. I know that two of my grays are really jealous from each other and sometimes they launch at each other.....
I'll try to get their cages close and see how they react to that. All 3 grays call the GCC by his name all the time, i don't know if that means something..... thanks for your suggestions. |
