Riddle me this?

I was just curious if anyone new what type of macaw that is in the BirdBoard banner at the top of the page? I haven't been able to figure it out!

I think its a Severe, but it looks like the colors were enhanced in photoshop.

Hmm maybe you are right. Maybe it the size, angle of the picture or something else that made me think it was a larger macaw.....I dunno!

Looking at the photo closely, there doesn't seem to be much 'chestnut' on it's forehead, and there seems to be just a smidge of orange on the chest... I know I could be wrong but I guess there could be a chance it's a hybrid.

Definitely not a severe and I also think its a Catalina. That would be a BG and scarlet cross. That would dilute the blues to greens and the reds to orange.

It's face does look just like a blue and gold. My guess is a hybrid of blue and gold and something. It's face looks just like my Darwin.

I agree more with the BG cross because i can see the resemblence to a BG!
