Wow, that is sad. She did the best that she knew how, though. Too bad it apparently wasn't discovered soon enough to get the chick to a rehab.

I seen that article. I still don't understand why they didn't try to get it to the rescue. Aren't there usually people on call who can come right away ???

Don't understand either .....
With so much observation ,why didn't anyone try to help?
I was afraid I was going to read that the turkey had stepped on the young bird - but misplaced motherhood - i wonder if that was it either - maybe just neurotic behavior???? Life is tough ... and ignorance ................... there are books on that.

How very, very odd is life....
That story was from my home town, and the author of the original article is a journalist whom I dated for 6 years! That isn't even counting the sad story of the owlet. Too bad people who saw this happening didn't actually do something about it.
