Talking Aaakkk!! Went to the Toy Store!!

Took the day off to go to the nearest large-ish city (Bangor, ME) because we were just about out of pellets. It's 90 miles, but the closest with pet stores. I have to confess to going just a bit nuts. There are two stores with a decent selection of bird stuff, and yup, I hit 'em both!! Suffice it to say that her ravishing majesty Quito now has enough toys and various perches/swings to rotate around for the rest of the year, not to mention a couple of new types of treats Are we going to have some fun or what!

Guess its just as well that they are 90 miles away. Anybody got five bucks I can borrow till payday??

Oh yeah, we also got a bag of pellets.

I have the same problem. We only have a small petstore around that we use for the essential. They are more expensive also. So when we go to a bigger town we hit the 2 main petstores and stock up on goodies@

You guys need to check out the internet - I order all of my food from the internet, and it is here within 3 days, at a much cheaper rate than the pet stores, including the shipping and handling!
Just a thought

It was funny. These were the first and so far only thing my birds have ignored as far as food goes anyway.

Nate,

I know exactly how you feel!!! I made a big purchase from Grey Feather Toys.com about 2 months ago. Then, I made another decent sized purchase about a month ago. They have lots of grey't toys. I think I've ordered most of them!! And Spencer loves them. I'm sure Tristan will be just as eager about them.

I've checked out Drs. Foster and Smith, but they seem a bit pricey compared to others.

Now that you know they sell toys on the net, too...... you should have lots of fun!!!

Ah, the trick is to shop the clearance section at Foster & Smith. I don't care if it;' sa holiday themed toy out of season. :~) And for perches, I find they have been the lowest cost for what I've needed.

No no, I knew alright. Been there, done that. More than once, LOL. Jeesh, you'd think after you spend a certain amount they'd send you a t-shirt!

Willow - The trick is to pick something up to look it over, and then put it back down, and not continue to load up your arms (or your virtual shopping cart). It's a concept that seems to totally elude me.
