Jardine & cockatiel

Hey all

I had a question , whats your opinion on this , is there anyway possible for a cockatiel and a jardine to get along? meaning side by side in a cage or should i make some distance , my fear is jardines are subseptabile to aspergellosis, can the dust from my tiel harm him in any way ? right now munch is all alone at home and pinotte will be comming home on sunday ..
please shed soem light on this situatuion?

I'm not sure about the aspergellosis, but I have heard from a lot of owners that Jardines often pick on smaller birds. In fact, that's the reason the woman who is letting me adopt her Jardines is getting rid of hers. I would be careful.

It would be a lot safer to keep them in separate cages. I don't know if tiel dust will bother the jardines, but I know that there are species that can't handle it. If you keep the cages in the same room the birds will get some social benefit from it, but you need to know more about the dust sensitivity before you decide how far apart to keep the cages.
