Monica can prolly tell you something about the proper weight for a 'tiel. I just wanted to say that he's adorable! Love them handraised 'tiels--they're always so sweet!

Tiels are normally overweight before they fledge, and when they start flying and getting exercise they normally loose some weight, so if he drops down a few grams don't worry! It actually sounds pretty normal, and tiels can range in size from 80-115 grams, if not more!

The 3 cockatiels I have weight is 95 g, 96 g, for the males an 105 g for the female. Those weights have been pretty constant at each weighing.
