Leg bands
Hi folks!!
Just wondering about leg bands.  Petey's got one. I'm going to assume it was put on by: 1)the breeder of the bird. or 2)the petshop that originally sold the bird. or 3)the couple that bought the bird. Is there a registry or some way I can track down or decode it? I'm just trying to get a little more history/info on our newest little guest.

Try L & M Bands. They sell most of the bans in the US and do keep a registry. However, not all breeder participate in the registry.

Whjen I phoned L & M, who I buy my legbands from, they said they do not have a registry. You can try http://www.buddysfriends.com/registry.html however it's not a complete list and many breeders don't want to be contacted (though I think that's foolish).
