Bob Went Walking....

Well, actually, we walked, he rode along....

First, we had to get the Feather Tether on him. He despises that thing, and spouse now has the huge bite welt to prove it! Here, Bob tries mightily to get the tether off....

After he finally gave it up as a lost cause, the walk commenced. He enjoyed the views, and posed in front of or on top of rocks, roses and his humans. He even left a feather behind as a treasure for the next person walking by to find :-):

Way to go Bob!!! Do you think he'll get used to the harness? He did look to be having a good time. Beautiful pics

Awww what a handsome fellow he is too. Looks like he had fun after getting used to it a bit.
That's still something I want to try with Gracie (TAG) one of these days.

Thanks, Puff.

No, I don't think he'll get used to the tether. He hates it worse every time he has to wear it. We can't towel him for the procedure, as he REALLY despises being towelled. You should have seen him throwing himself around trying to get out of having the tether put on! He finally threw himself on his back and stayed there--which made the job of getting the harness on easier! He did seem to enjoy his walk, though :-). Very curious about the overhead wires, the dogs we met on our walks, and the bicycles going by. It was a warm evening, so even though he looks pretty ratty from going through a moult right now, he was comfortable and talkative. We all had fun!

What a fun day for Bob! That last picture of him is just stunning! Too bad he hates the feather tether but after all of the scary stories happening around here lately, much better safe than sorry.

what beautiful pictures of Bob! He looks like he had a great time!

I tried to get a Feather Tether on Scarlett just one time. She bit the crap out of us, harder than she EVER did when she first met us. It went back to the store the next day.

Talking Great colours in the sunlight. Definately not a Houdini.

I hope you get Bob to associate a walk & lots of fun, with that tether.
I would love to go for walks like that!
My horse & dog both went crazy when they heard the bridle or saw the saddle. They loved adventures.
Walking is good for everyone.

Irish, if you get the opportunity, try the Aviator Harness. It has to be easier to get on than the Feather tether. We've been walking Gabriel every day in the evening with his on. Today it was raining so we didn't even think about it. When I was in the bird room this evening he flew at me(actually he was trying to land on me but he missed). When I picked him up off the floor, he kept rubbing his head on my hand. (we hold his head to put the harness on) I think he was trying to tell me he wanted to go for his walk. It was so sweet!

Awww.... poor guy--no walk! How sweet he sounds :-).
I'll try finding the Aviator Harness. I have yet to see it sold in one of our local stores, but I'll look every time we visit one. Thanks for the suggestion!
