Some of you may not be familiar with the Birds of a Feather Quilt that is being raffled off and the winner drawn in Maryland in September when Dr. Branson Ritchie comes to the Bird Heard Barbeque fundraiser in Savage, Md.

This quilt, much like the AIDS quilt, represents birds that have succumbed to this most horrible disease. It's when you see the sheer size of this thing that the reality hits you between the eyes: all of these birds are dead!
