Hmm interesting. I had never really thought about it but I have noticed that my Conures seem to have almost no interest in most fruit (berries specifically) lately even though they both seemed to love them before. My Parrotlets, on the other hand, continue to tear up just about anything I offer them.
I hadn't thought about the seasonality of berries but maybe you are right in that it is a natural tendency or something.
