got a birdy on my shoulder and I can't get it off
So, I go to this bird fair, looking for gouldian finches. No gouldians, but one toy vendor had a batch of rescue tiels. I fell in love with an older female pearl. Never had a tiel before, been thinking about getting one for some time. Thinking, thinking, thinking . . .
She's now sitting on my shoulder and preening my nasty think curly hair. And she's having such a good time, I can't get her off! I hope she gets sick of it eventually, cuz sooner or later I'll have to put her back in the quarrantine cage, then change clothes and clean everybody else's cage. |

Finally got her off, with much trouble. Changed clothes, got washed up, and went to tend to the other birds.
So, I was carrying Uncle Molly budgie around, and realized I'd forgotten to shut the door to the quarrantine room. Paused in the doorway to close it . . . and Uncle Molly took off flying and landed on the quarrantine cage. So much for quarrantine. |
