Broadwinged Hawk

I have one of these thats trying to get my finches in a outdoor aviary.Anyone have idea on how to get it out of here,it will hang on the front of the cage and flap tryng to pull the wire, it will do this even when I am setting within five feet

Perhaps attach something bright and shiney to the top of the aviary that flaps around scaring it off? I'm sure your finches would become accustomed to it within a day or so, but the hawk my take longer.

Or a wooden cat on the top? Maybe one that moves in the wind a bit. I've seen ones with sparkly eyes that catch the light.

I dunno if Hawks dont like owls? Ya can get one of those plastic owls at a garden store and place it ontop too.

I don't know but keep experimenting and let us know when you findout.
I would think about trying a bigger hawk, figure.

Thanks for the suggestions The owl sounds good will check on it first of the week. The hawk tried to fly thru a wood screen door today,I put hardware cloth on the door,dont think he can get into porch now..The birds sure know when he is around they dont hardley make a sound. Thanks bcamp
