question of cooking breads/muffins n stuff
The bread recipes I use for the birds is pretty basic stuff and as I am an amature novice cook with bread that is how I like it. The recipes all call for corn meal that I use. It has become quite obvious that none of my birds, like me, like corn meal!! A suggestion I received was to use Flax seed meal and whole wheat flour instead. Sounds good to me. lol I want to experiment with this idea tomorrow so I went and got the stuff. Well I also found Quinoa flour. Quinoa the super grain.
What do you all think? Start with one cup of each, Quinoa, whole Wheat, Flax seed? I am using my heavy bread recipe heavy bird bread what would the addition of eggs do? Make it/keep it more moist? I actually cook it at 350 for an hour or so.

Eggs not only add moisture but help the recipe hold together instead of crumble apart.I have never baked with quinoa, let me know how that works.Oat flour works well also.Read the lable on the wheat flour to make sure it is not enriched with iron.
