after extensive research

I have come to the conclusion the trick to keeping Sophie from using me as a chew toy while she and I are playing together is to give her the lid off a soda bottle. She actually layed against my chest while on my fingers workin that lid in her beak. Of course she eventually thought it was fun to train her human how to "pick up the lid" before going back to her cage.

LOL! Hey, whatever works! I've heard about soda bottle caps as toys before. As to training the human to pick up the lid, I hear you. It seems like almost any game degenerates into "Avian Fetch", the exact opposite of Doggy Fetch. They throw, we fetch. Doesn't seem quite right somehow.....

Jim,

Something else that I've heard of (but haven't put "into play" yet) is a toy T-shirt. It's a shirt with different types of toys attached to it. It definitely sounds fun. I can't remember where I heard of it first, but it's something I'd like to try.

What a great idea, Don! Liza Loo lives and breaths to play and is almost impossible to hold because she's always doing something. That would solve the problem.

I like that idea better than the poop shirt..............a guy I met has a shirt that his birds know they don't have to be carefull when he wears it. A "toy" shirt sounds like a great idea.

We made a real basic "toy" shirt

We sewed a dozen buttons on and some strings....it kept Mojo busy for about 30 min until they were all on the floor. We have never made it since

... unless they think every shirt hereafter is a Toy Shirt - what will you do then? I think you should wear a toy necklace - men are starting to wear 'necklaces' - you could be the first on your block with one.
