There is a long list of items containing PTFEs One that scares me to death is when I hear about people using a blow dryer to dry a bird. Besides the potential for burning the bird if a heat setting is used, most hair dryers have coils coated in teflon and if it overheats, that's that for the bird.
If you have a hairdryer with an overheat circuit that has ever shut the dryer down, then it has gotten to a point that would be deadly fopr a bird.
