[Miro The Macaw]

I recently acquired a 'Bird is the word' elmo. He sings, he dances, he squawks, and he FLAPS his wings. I had to introduce him to Miro-

OH- A bird? He is dancing... And singing... And showing his big wings??



HEY- I can show my BIG WINGS, too- Besides, that is MY trick- Not yours!! Are you trying to steal my people from me?

I think he is a little scared of it, it is bigger, after all... But, being a 'Macho Macaw', he had to attack it- Show it who is boss!! I don't think that elmo will take his place, although he is a LOT easier to take care of ;)

Miro is so macho! I've got a little "Puffkins" stuffed parrot, sort of like a beany baby. Yesterday while Quito was on her playstand I brought it over to show her. She was not impressed. Fluttered down to the floor in a huff, and refused to go anywhere near it. When I moved it to an end table on the other side of my chair, she consented to get back on the playstand, but kept a really close eye on it, and was vewy, vewy, quiet! I don't think "Squawk" the puffkin is going to become her best friend anytime soon.
