Welcome to the Jungle.......

At least, that's what it feels like in my house now!!!

For the first time, since I've had him, Spencer has discovered his "Grey Voice". And now that Tristan is downstairs with him, they get "Grey" together. It's so amusing to watch (or listen to, rather). I just hope he goes back to talking. He still talks, but has been doing it less now that Tristan is downstairs with him.

And, can I tell you how I think I'm going to lose 10 pounds chasing after Tristan? Spencer's wings were very improperly clipped, so he never learned how to fly. Although Tristan's wings are clipped, they're not clipped so much that she can't get a few feet if needed. I was in the kitchen making their dinner tonight while she was playing on her cage. I hear some flutters, and look out and see this gray blur go across the livingroom. Don't ask me where she was going, because I haven't the slightest idea. Then later while I was watching TV (and she was on her cage again), she decided she wanted to be on the sofa with me. Well, she over shot the sofa and landed behind it. It was quite funny.

And she is the biggest busy body I've ever seen. She goes everywhere. Today for the first time, she ventured over to Spencer's cage. She, of course, did this after several trips to Spencer's playstand. One trip ended with her getting her toes bitten. I keep telling her to stay off of his playstand, you'd think she'd either listen or learn that she's going to get bitten.

It's time to get that second TV to put in the bedroom. That way, I can catch up on my TiVo'd shows. There's no watching TV and getting through an entire program while they're both out.

I guess the two have alot to tell one another. :) Spencer has to becareful or Tristan will kick him out of his cage and take over his toys. Though I wonder if you can tell much of a difference between the two personalities with the TAG vs'CAG bit? Though I am thinking it maybe a gender thing.

Yes, the definitely have different personalities. But since this is my first time with a Congo and a Timneh, I can't really say it's a difference between subspecies or just individual personalities.

I have found that TAG's can be very protective of what is theirs and will get the point across how ever they have to. Good to see things are going fairly well between the two of them.

WHAT? NO PICTURES!!

I am glad Tristan is training you right from the start....She's s princess you know!

You also brought up the point of talking "grey"....i was curious if they "understood " each other? Same with macaws, amazon, ect. becuase even if the are the same species, they may speak different languages. Tkae humans for example, we cant understand everything other humans say in a different language. Just curious.

I started this thread from my desktop computer. All the pics are on my laptop. I'm at work right now (on my laptop), but don't have time to go through my pics. I'll do it when I go home!!!

That is a good question about them understanding. They tend to go back and forth. Whether or not they're actuallly speaking to each other remains to be seen. They're probably plotting on how to take over the house. Spencer was checking out the dog a bit more than usual last night. So, who knows. I'll keep you posted!!!

It will be interesting when they start talking to each other in English instead of Grey. :) The GW that's being boarded at BP is a trip. He told a U2 who was screaming to shut up and was trying to have a conversation with a Blue and Gold on the otherside of the window.

I think the dog is going to learn he's been demoted really soon. At least Spencer hasn't taken to feeding him yet.

My greys speak to each other in human talk never in grey-speak, but that maybe because Twiggy does not believe she is a bird. di

I'm sure as they get older, they'll speak in human to each other. Tristan's only 3 1/2, so I don't expect it right now!!!
