List for Santa

So, as most of you know, I am in the process of building an aviary for the birds in the back yard. Now comes the fun part -- time to decorate. They have WAY more space than before, so I am looking for the perfect accessory for each species. They are each in their own flight (by species, I don't have thirty odd runs), budgies, canaries and finches have 3 x 4 x 8 feet each, and the ringies and tiels have 3 x 6 x 8 feet each.

What one item would you buy for each?

Of course, I don't have limitless resources, but we are still at the brainstorming stage!

Wow what a cool project. I can certainly sympathize with you for wanting to find just the right accessory without breaking the bank. I can't think of anything specific off hand but maybe you can make some toys using bird-safe things you already have "laying around"?

I'm not sure which non-toxic trees grow in California, but I'd try to locate some branches with bark attached. This can provide hours of fun for tiels and budgies.
