Rosebud history - long - sorry

A brief history - Chris found Rosebud for me through an ad - I had replied to many ads, and felt that RB was the oldest one and was probably going to be the hardest to find a home for, so the woman (Lady X), and I talked and I sent her the money. Lady X was selling her as she had 10 animals in her house, and hubby can't stand the bird, and wants to travel. Now remember, this is the story that Lady X gave me. Anywho, prior to Lady X getting this bird, she had lived with a wonderful family for 11 years; I never did get the reason for the rehoming to Lady X's house.
This is where the story gets weird....... Chris' friend Jennifer is the one who picked up RB and Chris met Jennifer at her home to get RB. Lady X had previously told me that RB had been with her for 1 1/2, however, she told Jennifer that she had had RB for 3 years? WHAT?
RB got to Chris' house weighing in at 494 grams - very, very skinny and malnourished. Chris got her weight up before she arrived here. Upon arriving here, RB seemed very shy, very cage bound, and a bit clumsy. I wrote to Lady X and asked her about RB's time out of the cage, and her weight. I was assured that she always weighed 494 grams, and that she only spent time on this woman's shoulder when she was out of the cage. I know that none of this is true. I am by no means an expert, however, I know when a bird has been cage-bound by the behavior, thus the metal poisoning that she had.
To say I am pissed is an understatement. I don't understand how someone can treat such a heavenly creature as this one, or any parrot for that matter, so badly.
I am sick over this whole ordeal and hope that RB pulls through. This may sound petty, however if RB doesn't make it I am writing Lady X and asking for my money back. For no other reason than to make a point. Goodness knows I have spent at least 3 times the amount I paid for her.
I truly hope it doesn't come to that - and that this beautiful bird will come home healthy and happy.

RB is still at the vet's office since Tuesday morning (?). It has been way to long for me so I am not even sure at this point.
She is such a beautiful, loving bird, and at this point I just really want her home healthy.

I'm so sorry to hear that Rosebud is back at the vet's office. I hope she is healthy and back home soon!!

Such a sad story and I think you are right in asking for your money should anything happen to RoseBud, this is PRINCIPLE.

I will definitely say prayers and have ONLY positive thoughts for her. She deserves to live in TooVille and see what her life can be like with a family that will truly love her unconditionally as I know you do all your birds

Next time you talk to Chris you two should get a hold of her vet that helped with Tiny's case....maybe you have a similar situation...just a thought!

you are in our prayers. I know this has to be horrible to go through but you standing your ground with lady x is for Rosebud since she can't do it her self. I commend you for that. Hope all is well with her and keep everyone updated.
