A broken tail feather

I was just playing with Merlin and noticed that one of his tail feathers is broken it has not broken off complety is still attached just kind of bent like when you break a stick and it doesnt quiete break but it is all warped. His happy and eating and playing with his toys so i am not sure if i should worry or not.

I doubt there is cause for concern. Birds often break their tail feathers if they are a bit rough (or clumsy); he should replace it at the next molt.

if its not a blood feather, and he will let you, you can cut it off just above the break, so it wont be in his way during his general coarse of the day. DONT PULL IT OUT. it will come out naturaly with his next molt.
