what does this cry mean?
Merlin has spent most of the day out of his cage today - its the first day since we got him two weeks ago that he has wanted to be out of his cage so much and he is a really happy bird, he is also more friendly and willing to be petted and played with however it seems almost every time i pick him up or touch him he starts to make this weird sound. The best way of descriping the sound is that it sound like the cry of an eagle but much softer, softer then his usual crys. Does anyone know what this sound means?

His about eight weeks old and has been eating fine next time he does it i might offer him some food from my hand and see what he does.
Hmmm we just noticed something else too when he is being held by my partner he chirps normal happy chirps as soon as he is on me of being petter by me he does the little screech. When we pick him up out of the cage we let him climb on to our finger his a smart bird and has already learnt to step up for us. Last edited by Willowmoon; 12-12-2007 at 03:35 AM. |
