Bella's (the Illiger) new discovery
Hi, I have an Illiger's macaw who just discovered the joy of ice cubes. I throw a few in the water dish every day, and she has quite a fun time cracking them in her beak, shaking her head really fast, then doing it again. Heehee!!! Anyone else let their parrots play with ice cubes?

I've never tried that with mine, although Arthur has tried other cold things, and he definitely does NOT like them....
Bob would prolly be game for anything, knowing that silly guy :-).

Shiloh, my Illigers, like ice cubes too. Crazy birds. I've been toying of the idea of making some ice cubes with chopped fruits in them so there is a little surprise ass the ice cube melts. Good, messy fun for a hot day!
