A quick trip

to the bird store to pick up Sydney's food turned into a $110.00 shopping spree!

Some toys, plus stuff so Donna can make toys, new perch, and a great piece of gnarly grape wood for Sydney to climb on once I get it bolted to his playground. Oh, and our Parrots At Play calendar.

And yes, we did get his food.

Love it!

That always happens to me. I go to the bird store for grooming (which costs $5.50) or to "just to pick up food" ($23) and it turns into like $75-$120 cause there are always some toys that I "have" to get and Merlin so loves new toys that I love to get them for him.

It's my roommate that almost always comes to the bird store with me cause he is a bird person. My husband (who is not a bird person) is always worried I will come home with another bird! I am going to get another bird but not right now...I have already decided on a Caique...I have talked to my hubby and he is ok with it just not right at this moment.

Oh and he calls all birds "Chompy McChomperton" cause they all bite. LOL

when my friend's bird was pictured in Bird Talk magazine she got an ink pad (water based) and had him make little feet prints on the cover to "autograph" it for us.

This weekend 79.00 at PetSmart, 29.00 at PetLand, 89.00 at PetCo, 39.00 from DrFostersSmith.com

And every penny... bird toys (except the 39.00 for DrFostersSmith which was food). Two of the stores we went out of town to go to (over 120 miles away). I swear we spend at least 100 to 200 per month on our fids! Spoiled rotten they are!
