Feathers coming in curly?

Zen's feathers seem to be coming in curly. She is a hormonal plucker and has been sitting on unfertilized eggs - they may just be curly from spending so much time in her very crowded Happy Hut, but I think I've read that it may also be a sign of disease? She has an appointment with Dr. Sakas a week from Saturday to check it out, but if anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate it.

It is probably nothing, but I would worry the same.
I'm sure someone here will know something about this condition.

On the lighter side...maybe he ate his bread crust. Ha,ha.

Beak and Feather shows with curly feathers, but since you have had her a while, you would have seen it before. Its probably that she is mooshing her feathers in her hut.

Thanks, guys. It probably is from being squished into her Hut, but she still gets to go see Dr. Pete next week!

I'll be keeping wee Zen in my thoughts -- I'm sure that her check up will prove that she's just fine :)

Thanks again, everybody. Her appointment is next Friday morning, so I'll try to get on when we get home and let you all know what he says. BTW, yesterday was Zen's 5 year anniversary as part of our family!
