Hmmm Let's see...

Peeps (My Parrotlet) got his name from the obvious, the peeps Easter candy. When I bought him I was in the middle of making Easter baskets and had a bunch of Peeps on the table. He kinda looked like one to me...LOL

Brock the Quaker got his name from the cartoon Venture Bros on Cartoon net. Brock Sampson is my hubby's fav cartoon character.

Our Cockatoo was also named from a character on the show. The character is named Molotov and that is all I'm posting because the rest is kinda X-Rated (If you know the cartoon then you'll know the name)...My husband decided on Molly.

The Maccaw we called Sampson to keep up with the venture Bros theme. That and Sampson in the Bible is strong and large like the Maccaw.

I am getting an alex but i dont know the sex, it is being called matches after one of my favourite bands the matches. I have a male tiel named daisy but was told it was a girl, i was three when i named it. Our galah came to us with a name she was charlie, lived to about 80. Our other tiel was lola after lola bunny from space jam (brother wanted to call her 'yellow bird' hmm). Our ducks were napoleon and josephine (both girls) our other ducks were jezzabell (or jezzy) and daggy (he looked like a tool). Another tiel i tamed was fang cos when we first got him he drew blood. Had a silver eye (release bird) called chip cos thats the sound it would make, had a dove called dovey or dubby (original i know) and a minor bird called bastard bob (noisiest bird EVER!!!!)...he was released quickly (we had to crawl on the ground so he couldnt see us otherwise the noise would start).

I'm taking French, so I wanted a French name for my 'tiel, so I google "French pet names" and under the letter 'E' was Elmo, and I just read it and liked it.

Stewie was named after the character on The Family Guy - you know the one, the baby who wishes his mommy would die, but she just thinks he's adorable because she can't understand anything he's saying?

Seemed to fit the little guy when I got him.

Poppy - In memory of our previous TAG, Paris. A poppy is for rememberance - In Flander's Field references poppies ... great poem. Oh and the red tail, like a poppy! Ziggy b/c we're Bob Marley fans. Paris came to us named already.

Other pet names: 2 cats, Ra & Tula ... Ra (Sun god) and Tula means balance

Lucki - because he is just so lucky to have been taken away from his horrible former home - aka torture house.

Before I got Lucki I was thinking up possible names and I liked ones like Nodder, Bobber (if they like nodding their heads), and Jaffa (I was thinking of getting one sent down from Auckland at one stage). 'Jaffa' is slang in New Zealand for 'Just Another F*%#en Aucklander!!! There's also a famous budgie here in Invercargill called Burtie, but my workmates told me I wasn't allowed to name any budgie after him because it is a boring name!!!!

Fans of the Green Bay Packers football team are "cheeseheads" so my husband chose Cheddarhead for our sun conure who sports the team colors.Pollo is Spanish for chicken and since our blue crown conure is afraid of everything I found it a fitting name.
