I have not been through this wait (yet!) but it does sound agonizing! But I think it's a good sign that you're so excited and nervous and impatient
I just noticed you are from MI, me too! What part are you from? I am in the south east.

Well, you can start building playstands and acquiring good cleaners and disinfectants. And, of course you'll need a carrier, too. I would recommend that you invest in a pipe bell, all greys seem to love them
Then, of course, you can start reading about all of the seed mixes, pellets, treats, recipes etc. Of course, you also need to line up a few good vets, with at least one being avian certified. And, you should also start looking for good pet sitters and boarding facilities. You life will never be the same. I just assume your house is big enough, if not................

I am from Paw Paw which is in the south west corner of the state.
Outlaw-I have gotten my vet lines up, purchased a travel carreir and sleep cage, large daytime cage, have the supplies to build playstands, have already gotten 2 pipe bells and ordered various other toys I thought he would like as well as making toys most evenings! I have also contacted and recieved samples from roudybush, lafebers, and tried zupreem, but htey don;t give samples, their reason was that their products are 100 percent guaranteed! I have been researching different foods and thought I would start making up and freezing things so I don't have to spend time cooking once he us here, I can spend that time hanging out with him! We visited ours daily while we waited for them to wean. Since you can't do that, how 'bout asking the breeder to send you periodic updates in the form of video footage and still photos of the baby's development? Maybe make the occasional (1-2xmonthly) trip over there to see your baby? Seems like you've just about got everything else covered :-).

Our breeder does a weekly update of growth and progress as well as photos! She also keeps a scrapbook of the photos she takes while the baby is with her and she will give that to us when we bring him home! She updates the site every friday!

What's that song..."Memories"....you just made me dig out my Baby Book with all Max's egg, featherless pics & his first wing clips feathers (I stroked those tonight.... sniff, sniff..
Honestly, keep making those toys. Max loves untreated pine blocks & as he has matured he can demolish these toys in a day or two. He craves pine in all shapes & sizes. Get out your drill & keep going because the rate they destroy toys is utterly amazing. If I knew back when I was waiting for him to come home about his ability to "destroy" toys I would have made 2yrs worth (lol).
