Has taken to climbing off her playstand at night, that is on my coffee table in my livingroom. She streches long distances to get onto the couch. I have even heard her "fly" there.
She likes to hide behind the loose pillows. She thinks no one can see her, since her head is burried, but you can see her big red butt sticking out.
Now the husband does not like her to be on the couch, considering what parrots do, and the couch is new. I laugh and tell him, she can do anything she wants, and she just wants to be like us, and sit on the couch to watch TV. He doesnt buy this considering she's behind the pillow, and cant see the TV. My next line is that she is building her pop-pop a nest. George laughs and still wants Miss Spolied of the couch. I will call her name, she backs out of her "cave" and looks at me. I tell her back on her perch, and she actually listens and more times then not, climbs back on the perch if I tell her. She ignores George if he tells her. Not that she stays on her perch, because the second I am not in site, she is climbing back down to get back on the couch.
Because of this, her name is called alot, so she knows I'm around, and she stays put. Now Ollie, Sydney, Stirling, are calling for Emma, followed by "hey, what are you doing?" It's funny...
Even Emma is calling her own name. You can tell its my voice

That's so cute!! That sounds like my house! We've got a new loveseat & Bud isn't allowed on it either. Of course, if I'm sitting there, Bud's gotta be there with me, so we hear "no poopin' allowed on the couch!" a lot!

I hold Emma over a newspaper next to the couch and tell her to 'do poops'
and as long as she goes, she can hang on the arm of the couch with me when the mean old pop-pop aint lookin...

I have to say its extremly rare when she has had an accident on the furniture, and when she has, it was 100% my fault, because I didnt read the signs she was giving me.

Yeah, same here! I try to have an old t-shirt or towel with me when I have Bud on my lap but sometimes I"m too lazy to look for one. course that means poop stains on my shirt or shorts, so whenever we go somewhere, I have to change!!

Kris ...if i remember Tuki is a girl? if so...........you will be one day!

After DNA testing...the avian vet says Tuki is a boy. So my fingers are crossed for a *little* less drama!?!?
