I'm picked out a bird to sponsor this weekend!
Hello, just wanted to share that I"m now the proud 'sponsorer' of a yellow collared macaw. He is in sanctuary at the Gabriel foundation, and is considered special needs. From what we know, he was part of a breeding/hoarding situation where the caretaker, because of illness or whatever, stopped taking care of her birds. This little guy is afraid of hands right now, and has problems grasping things with his feet. So... I am buying him lots of toys to help him out!! heehee. Now I just have to keep myself from bringing him home...

Keev, I've got 2 :-). One is a 100 gallon freshwater community tank, and one is a 12 gallon Eclipse breeder tank for my prolific pair of Angelfish (had to remove them from the community tank, and the little one was the only other one I have). Every few months, a new set of parent-raised Marble Veil Angelfish finds their way to my favorite fish store....

congratulations on your sponsored bird! That is wonderful! I actually had the priveledge to visit the new facility of the Gabriel Foundation yesterday. They are wonderful people and do wonderful things. Its truly a wonderful thing that you are doing! As a hopefully future volunteer there, I thank you.
