Update on the "Girls"

Stella and Baby are doing great. They chat up a storm. They both seem very happy.

Stella the CAG is a junk food junkie. I am having a real hard time getting her to eat foods that are good for her. I have cooked, diced, chopped, baked, you name it. She throws it on the floor. Give her a potato chip and she eats every last speck. She plucked a little more the other day. She is quick about it too. She knows she is not supposed to do that. She snips her feathers off like she is using scissors. She bites her nails too. Not bad though. She is a nervous bird and takes everything new as a threat. She wasn't abused, just spoiled rotten. I guess that can be an abuse in it's own way. She makes a cooing noise that I take to be a good thing? She is also a really good talker. All in all she is sweet and loves for us to rub her head. She doesn't want to step up for us yet, but I figure trust has to be built first and I won't rush her. She was very tame to her previous owners.

Baby the BFA eats everything. No bad habits. She loves me. She is fine and loves to have her head rubbed as long as I do it through the cage bars. I get the crap bit out of me when I try to bring my hand near her without the cage between us. I can pet her when she is out of the cage as long as I reach into the cage to do it. Gotta put them bars between us. I guess that is her safety zone.

Stella stepped up on my hand today and let me carry her around the house!!!!
