Dangerous territory- Revisited!

Went back to that store, got the part for the filter that I needed.

Took my cam with me this time.

((Yeah I know I said no more postin pics,.....
so sue me- I couldn't help it! ))

Here's some feathered highlights.

Pic 1) The Hahn's.
***I hadn't noticed, but there were 2 price tags overlappin each other & I read the wrong price on these little guys.
The price isn't $1699,
it's only $999.99.....
I also discovered today that one of these fellas can say a few words already!!!

Pic 2) The Sennies. They were a quite a bit bolder today, readily approaching an offered hand.

Pic 3 & 4) The Bourkes Parakeets.

The first shot is of our Bouvier Max, chillin' out on the floor in front of the BFA's cage, waitin for the signal it's time for us to go.

The last 4 are the trio of WCPs we've been lookin at...
(as if ya couldn't tell ).
Two of them come right to us as soon as they see us now or try to....
even if there's 2 layers of plastic in between us.

Aren't they adorable??!!

The Hahns at Bird Hut are $995 too. That's retail for ya folks! Retail vs. Breeder Direct. It's all about the connections you have....

Yes, Birds are pretty expensive up here at the stores. They're cheaper from a breeder.

Ones??
Ok first off, it will be only ONE.
Second, we haven't decided IF it's going to be one of these or one of the Poicephalus types at one of the 2 breeders we've been to.
There's a Meyer's & an Emerald in the running still too.
Both of the birds I just mentioned are cheaper (by more than $150) than the Pionus.

There are some prerequisites if we were to choose one of these Pi...
Such as:
I'd really like to know the sex of the bird BEFORE we get it....
and I want to be able to contact the breeder of these WCPs.

However, if we do agree to get a Pi.....
As yer lookin at them, it would most probably be one of the 2 on the perch closest to the cam.
The one on the right has the most peach color in it's cap right now.
The one on the left has the most white.
I think those 2 are the oldest & both seem to respond quick & friendly whenever they see us.
It would be quite a hard choice to make between the 2 of them.

It's difficult enough deciding on which type of bird....
