My New House Alarm!

Seems like when anyone strange approaches my house my Macaw Alarm goes off! Chopper has taken to alerting the whole family someone is coming. He's better than the dogs! My husband gets a kick out of it. Better than paying for a system! Anyone elses birds do this?

My conure can see my backyard and the yards of some houses behind mine. Whenever he sees anyone or any other animals outside, he sounds off his alarm, hahaha. Also, if one of my birds gets off its cage or playstand, he lets me know!

My Macaw sets off her alarm before the Rottie.

She can not only see when people or cars approach but, can here them before they pull up or come to the door.
I think it's great.

With 11 dogs in the house and all over the various yards, they ALWAYS notice something/someone near our place long before the parrots do. However, once the dogs go off, every bird in the house is happy to join in the din, too! It's a wild ride around here, sometimes... :-).
