Parrotlets and Lovebirds

I have done much research on parrotlets and lovebirds.

Can you offer your opinion about what bird might be best?

I am single and live in a smaller apartment. I have a good size cage. I am looking for a pet that loves, is cheery and fun, maybe talks, whistles and or sings, good personality, etc.

What do you think?

Thanks

I vote Parrotlet. My Chipper is very quiet. She only gets a bit "loud" when I prepare her food. She is playful, funny and loving.

again its got to be the parrotlet, everything you can ask for in a bird in a very small quiet package. jake loves to be cuddled just before bed and will play by himself or with me. very active birds never still and just love to climb and explore.

I'm a wee bit partial to lovies... Beetle makes for a nice apartment parrot. He doesn't speak or imitate a whistle but to be fair, he has a squawk that can be heard outside of the apartment. He's rather playing and I could watch him for hours.

That said, I had originally intended on bringing home a parrotlet. I had difficulty finding a breeder nearby. I haven't had a lot of hands-on experience with p-lets but they are certainly a lot of parrot in a tiny package. I still think about bringing one home in the future!

Best of luck... and be aware that once you make your decision you are required to post LOTS of photos of your new friend LOL
